This project was the effort of the Evansville World War II Heritage City Group, a collaboration of the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science, the LST 325 Memorial Ship and Museum, and the Evansville Wartime Museum. Evansville, IN was named an American World War II Heritage City by the U.S. National Park Service in 2024, along with 26 other American cities. Funding for this project came from a grant from the National Park Service, administered by the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.
