C-47 "Hairless Joe" Weekend

Join the Evansville Wartime Museum in welcoming the Historic C-47, Hairless Joe, visiting from the Michigan Flight Museum. Hairless Joe will be available for rides and ground tours. Ride tickets can be purchased below through the Michigan Flight Museum's site. Admission to the museum is $20 per individual 16 and over, $10 for those 5-15, and free for under 5. Warbird Weekend: B-29 & P-51

This year, we not only welcome back "DOC", one of two remaining air-worthy B-29 Superfortresses, but also for the first time to the Evansville Wartime Museum, a P-51 Mustang "Gunfighter"! Both planes plan to arrive late in the afternoon on 7/30. P-51 rides and ground tours of both planes will be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Rides on the B-29 will only be available on Saturday & Sunday. Rides for both planes can be purchased through b29doc.com/events/evansville-in-b-29-doc-p-51-gunfighter/ Special event admission to the museum is required and includes ground tours: $20 per individual 16+, $60 for a family of 4. Huey Helicopter Weekend

Join us in welcoming the Iconic Huey Helicopter back the museum, August 8th from 10am-5pm and August 9th from 9am-4pm. Rides on the Huey are purchased the day of the event for $100 per person on a first-come first-serve basis. There is no advanced ride registration. Rides will be conducted back-to-back and tickets are available until a maximum number of rides that can be taken in a day are sold. Ride may sell out earlier in the day with extended wait times until your ride. Museum admission is required, $14 general admission, $9 for seniors, $9 for children 6-17, $9 for veterans, active duty, first responders. Children 0-5 and WWII/Korean Veterans enter free.
